This workshop will provide an overview of the International Classification of Functioning, Disability, and Health (ICF) developed by the World Health Organization. Endorsed by the United Nations in 2001, the ICF has increasingly been implemented in countries worldwide for uses including disability data collection, policy determination, and disability/health education. Fundamental concepts from the ICF will be discussed including its bio-psychosocial model of disability.

Participants will learn of the various ways to provide support to students with intellectual disabilities transitioning to postsecondary education settings.
